the summer that wasn't is almost over. Hurricane Irene left us after a big blow but no damage ocean is calm today. I was happy yo be part of a successful quilt show in Pictou early this month. The Northumberland quilters fill a concert hall with quilts every year and I appraised some interesting ones. Their challenge was to donate a black and white block to be made into quilts of palliaitive care. Over half of the members participated. we were allowed to add one colour so I chose gold, for the seagulls beak.
Quilt shows are very popular in my country. You are not very good resident if you don't have a quilt
