Spring is in the air. the snow is melted on our backyard stone heron and it is time to post plans for the rest of the year . This looks like a busy one despite my vows to slow down. My self published book APRONS My Grandmother Always Wore One is selling slow but steady. Orders can be taken at dimacquilt@gmail.com.The article in the Montreal Gazette were picked up by a paper in Victoria BC and also by the National Posy, Feb 14 edition. The first week of May some of my aprons will be exhibited at Gryphon tea room and anApron Memories tea party sponsored by the Montreal West 50+ club will be at the local Community center. I am currently documenting the apron collection and selecting ones for Spring and summer events. The count is very close to 900.
May is quilting Month is Canada and I will be attending and appraising at 3 major quilt shows that month, dates and locations will be in the next post.
Last but not least the downsizing is continuing as is our search for a big condo. I am happy to announce that 10% of my antique quilt collection have found new owners, now to find places for the rest of the STUFF and donate fabric to good homes.
it is a,most time to start planning for the annual move to NS which will be earlier this year due to Quilt Canada's Halifax dates late may. In June in addition to celebrating my birthday there will be two apron events. I am really excited to announce that I also will be participating in The Fiber Fest in Amherst Nova Scotia October 9-13
