Dimac Quilt

It has been a busy month with my flat textiles too. Twenty aprons are installed at the Gryphon tea room in NDG for the month ,below is a picture taken at the vernissage. The aprons are almost packed for my Kitchen party presentation on Wednesday night May 30 at the Cunard center as part of Quilt Canada in Halifax. Some friends will be there to help sell the book Aprons, My Grandmother Always Wore One I am looking forward to being back in Halifax.with the excitement of a National Conference, hope to find time to celebrate one of those milestone birthdays. On June14 I will be visiting the Annapolis Valley for a dessert party in Centerville, call 902-678-2836 for tickets. Will there still be agenda books to sell at the Farmers market in Tatamagouche on June 23?

Too many quilt shows in May,blame the Canadian winter 3 attended and 2 to go .The provincal Salon 2012 starts in 6 days at College Andre Grassett, 1001 east Cremazie Blvd,here in Montreal. I will be there appraising quilts old and new studio ,bed or antique styles on Thursday between 10 and 8 PM and Friday until 3. Our bilingual appraiser Nicole Menard will be there until 8 on Friday night ,also Saturday and Sunday.
It is that time of year when I prepare to drive to Nova Scotia for the summer. This year I leave early because Quilt Canada is in Halifax. Am anxious to see how my flower gardens survived the winter and to appraise marvelous quilts from all across Canada. Judy Lyons and I will have our tape measures ready at the student Union Building on University Ave on the Dalhousie Campus to measure and appraise your quilts. May is Quilting month in Canada and I will be appraising at three shows this month so getting my appraisal kit in order.remember these dates.
May4-6 Centennial Center Macdonald campus of McGill Ste Anne de Bellevue 7-9 tonight,10-3 tomorrow and 10-3 on Sunday May 6 . I will be selling some of my vintage quilts in the on-going procedure of Downsizing my collection.
May 10 I will be in Ottawa area appraising at the Running Stitch in Kanata,462 Hazelton Road 613-836-5908

Save the dates of May 24-27 for visiting Salon 2012 sponsored by provincal CQQ, at Andre Grasset 1001 East Cremazie Blvd Montreal I will be appraising there on Thursday10-8 and Friday. Nicole Menard will be there Saturday and Sunday
This winter I spent time with my aprons now have 915 . Yesterday gave a talk for the Montreal West travel Club and sold a few books as well.
Twenty of my aprons are currently on display at the Gryphon Tea Room ,5968 Monkland Ave ,NDG-Montreal for the month of May
the Vernissage will be Monday night 6:30-8:00. Aprons Agenda will be for sale there as well
